The Conference will be held from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 18th September 2026 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana on the theme, Sustainable Cashew Supply through Policy, Investment and Partnership.

As the flagship event of the African cashew industry, the ACA Annual Cashew Conference and Expo brings together key stakeholders from across the Cashew value chain, including producers, processors, traders, exporters, buyers, policymakers, development partners, financial institutions, researchers and service providers. More than 600 local and international participants from over 30 countries are expected to participate in this year’s Conference. This will be the second time Ghana will be hosting the cashew world, previously doing so in 2013.

This year’s Conference will be held in partnership with Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Tree Crops Development Authority with support from the European Union (EU), the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the GIZ/MOVE Project.

Speaking ahead of the Conference, the President of the ACA Board of Directors, Mr. Ibrahim Sanfo, highlighted that the Conference in Ghana “presents a unique opportunity to showcase the significant progress made in the country’s cashew sector, attract new investments, promote local processing and value addition, while reinforcing Ghana’s leadership role in Africa’s cashew industry”.

Conference theme

The 2026 ACA Annual Cashew Conference and Expo will be on the theme, Sustainable Cashew Supply through Policy, Investment and Partnership. The Conference comes at a critical time for the global cashew industry when stakeholders seek practical and collaborative solutions to ensure sustainable and reliable cashew supply. The Conference will therefore focus on exploring practical approaches to ensuing sustainable cashew supply through strengthened policy support, increased public- private sector investments and enhanced collaboration among industry stakeholders.

“The long-term sustainability of the cashew industry depends on deliberate actions by all stakeholders. Through supportive policies, increased investments across the value chain and stronger supportive partnerships, we can build a resilient, globally competitive and sustainable African cashew industry, capable of meeting the increasing global demand while improving livelihoods and creating shared prosperity,” Mr. Sanfo said.

The Conference will feature presentations, high-level panel discussions, technical workshops, thematic forums and information sessions led by seasoned cashew industry experts and practitioners. Discussions will cover critical areas including production sustainability, financing and investment opportunities, policy and regulatory frameworks, market trends, value addition, quality and food safety standards, climate resilience and strategic partnerships.

The Conference will also provide opportunities for Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, enabling participants to establish new business relationships and strengthen existing business partnerships. The ACA Expo will showcase cashew products, technology, innovation and services from organizations across the global cashew industry.
