Cashews Climbing The Charts – A Look at Export Figures

Vietnamese cashews pridefully dashed through a notable threshold in 2025, surpassing the US$5bil mark for the first time. With an impressive export value of over US$5.2bil, cashews cemented themselves as Vietnam’s third-largest agricultural export commodity. The shiny spot on the podium comes after coffee and fruits & vegetables, as reported by Vietnam Customs.

In fact, it was not just value that broke records; cashew exports in 2025 reached a new volume height of 766,585 tonnes – a 5.7% increase from the previous year. The significant year-end surge in December 2025 alone contributed to this, witnessing an export of US$466mil. This victory shows a sharp year-on-year increase of 29%, inflating the year’s total export turnover to over US$5.2bil and officially placing cashews in the esteemed “US$5bil club” with fellow stars like fruits and vegetables, coffee, and rice.
