Terms of Reference: Sound Equipment Supply/ Technicians for Ghana MTP

In its 3rd phase, the project wants to consolidate the achievements, upgrade, and reinforce the capacity of local actors and transfer knowledge to partners and target groups. In this context, GIZ/ComCashew, with support from ACA, introduced the “Master Training Program” (MTP). Several editions have been held already in which over Hundred experts have been trained between 2014 and 2020. The ComCashew project through its MTP partner, the African Cashew Alliance (ACA) is hiring the services of qualified sound equipment and technicians.

The aims of the MTP are: 

  • Create a pool of qualified experts on the cashew value chain in West African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, and Ghana, also reaching out to other West-African countries - e.g.  Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Mali); and
  • Reach out to East African countries.
  • Facilitate the regional exchange of knowledge, learning and innovation.

The LOTS of Services to be supplied:

The LOTS available under this TOR are presented in the table below. All services under each lot are to be provided in Parakou (Benin), Bobo- Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), and Abidjan (Cote D’Ivoire), where the venue will be confirmed later. There will be 2 sessions involved in each of the LOTS. The first session will be held from 19th to 23rd April 2021 and the second session from 17th to 21st May 2021.

a. Provide 25 microphones for use for seven (7) days

b. Complete sound system (and speakers for a 50 ft x 70ft Room)

c. Provide 2 technicians over seven (7) days to support the management of the sound equipment and microphones

d. One (1) booth (ISO standard) for the sound equipment

Bobo- Dioulasso, Burkina Faso/ LOT2

Session 1: 19 -23 April 2021

Session2: 17-23 May 2021

a. Provide 30 microphones for use for seven (7) days

b. Complete sound system (and speakers for a 50 ft x 70ft Room)

c. Provide 2 technicians over seven (7) days to support the management of the sound equipment and microphones

d. One (1) booth (ISO standard) for the sound equipment

Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire/ LOT3

Session1: 19-23 April 2021

Session2: 17-21 May  2021

a. Provide 35 microphones for use for seven (7) days

b. Complete sound system (and speakers for a 50 ft x 70ft Room)

c. Provide 2 technicians over seven (7) days to support the management of the sound equipment and microphones

d. One (1) booth (ISO standard) for the sound equipment

Transportation and Lodging

Lodging at the venue for the technicians will be provided by the organizers. Kindly include in your quote your transport charges to the Training venue for the technicians and the equipment.

How to Apply

Any interested party can bid for either LOT1, LOT2, LOT 3 alone, or a combination of LOTS. Please send your expression of interest for these services with an official quote/ pro-forma for the services detailing charges for the 2 technicians, for the equipment rental, the equipment and transportation costs, if any.
