Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado industries grow by 62 percent in five years |

The industries of Cabo Delgado province have increased from 318 establishments in 2002 to 515 by the end of the first half of 2007, a rise of 62 percent, according to the Provincial Industry and Commerce Directorate (DPIC).

Cashew industry heads for east coast |

Cashew
industry is looking eastward now. With the Vision 2020 Committee of the
Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI) expects the eastern
states to contribute around half of the production target set for 2020,
cashew processors and manufacturers from the west coast are mulling the
viability of processing cashew in the eastern coast.

Strong rupee takes sheen off cashew exports |

There is more trouble brewing for the cashew kernel exporters in
India. They are already reeling under severe crisis due to competition
from Vietnam and a fall in export volumes. Now, the strengthening
rupee has put them in more trouble.
