Viet Nam ’s cashew nut posted a growth rate of 30.8 percent in export
value in 2007 and is currently holds 50 percent of the world market
share, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

are the least promoted among all tree nuts and a global cashew alliance
(GCA) involving India, Brazil and Vietnam is in the making with the
Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI) spearheading the move.

THE Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) says
it has adopted various strategies aimed at assisting the country's
exporters to meet international requirements for their products.
Already,
NEPC has selected two agricultural products namely, pineapple and
cashew nut, for development with a view to tapping their export

Kochi, Dec 11 India, which had been the pioneer and topper in raw
cashew nut production in the world until recently, has lost its
position to Vietnam and Nigeria and occupies the third place.
However, it continues to keep its top position in processing and exports using imported raw nuts.
