Senegal ACA country level meeting February 8 & 9 2007

Senegal, with its crop of approximately 15,000 MT, is a relatively small cashew producing country, compared to its neighbour Guinea Bissau (appr > 100,000 MT). However, the private sector working in cashews is eager to organize itself, and collaborate to create a strong sector with a good reputation for quality and efficiency.

Guinea Bissau ACA Country Level Meeting February 6th 2007

SNV and No Fianca (formerly Enterprise Works) prepared presentations for the ACA country level meeting in Guinea Bissau with subcommittees consisting of different representatives from the cashew sector on production, processing, regulatory framework and finance.

Nigeria loves cashews

The ACA meeting in Nigeria on January 26th at the compound of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan gathered 35 cashew stakeholders to brainstorm on Nigeria's potential to improve quality of raw nuts and increase its processing industry.

PTNPA Convention: USA Nut scene meets

During the Peanut & Tree Nut Processors Assocation (PTNPA) Annual Convention from January 13-16, more than 400 people representing companies working in nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, cashews, etc.) gathered in Phoenix, Arizona.
